SCAM SCAM SCAM !

This company called my house and spoke to my mom, which by the way is not authorized to make any changes, and somehow tricked her in thinking she was going to save big $ on her AT&T because she qualified for a low income program. Well it turns out that this company is billing me $14 apart from our high AT&T bill. Oh and to cancel was nearly impossible after 3 hours (no kidding!) 6 diff reps and someone saying we are not still responsible for charges, I am fed up and mad that AT&T allows this to happen to their customers.

I called today to USBI and I spoke to a rep. I ask them why are they charging $27.00 in my bills every month I never asked for this service and the lady gave me a nasty service I requested to talk to a supervisor she transfered :( my call and the supervisor MARIA GARCIA was worse than the lady that was talking to me first, MARIA didn't let me talk she was talking over me and at the end she said well you owe that money you have to pay and that's the bottom line. I would like to know where can I make a complain about this company.

I have been fighting USBI for three months. They have charged the company I work for a total of $292.99 in long distance charges through our Frontier account..

When they called they told me they were Frontier (Not USBI) and it would not cost us any more money.. but was just a different billing system.I finally told them yesterday if there were anymore charges I was calling the Public Service Commission.. The man I was talking to was not very nice and told me there would not be anymore charges.

Evidently I authorized this service in July, didn't know what was going on until August when I cancelled the service. It's now Oct and I'm still dealing with them...

Just fire AT&T as well as USBI. Lots of phone companies out there looking for your custom. Don't forget to dispute the bogus charges on the bill when it comes.

USBI ONE LINK scam

I started seeing charges on my AT&T phone bill from some random company called USBI. These were all long distance charges, (I had unlimited long distance for only $14 a month with AT&T). So I call USBI company and they said I authorized them to charge me for long distance calls. I was baffled, and thought they were out of their minds. This made no since to me. I would never authorize a company to start charging me insanely higher than the unlimited long distance plan I currently had (for so cheap). They played some fabricated recording, in which one of the questions they ask me my mothers maiden name, and my response was not even her maiden name. I complained to AT&T about this and asked them why in the world would they agree to let some third party company charge me for long distance calls when I already get unlimited for sooooo cheap any way. They were just ignorant in response. It made no since. I switched to COX, (who I heard does not allow 3rd party charges from scammers without consulting the clients first). I have called numerous time to USBI and finally they tell me they will credit $23. I told them no that, that is not ok, and to credit the whole charge, being that it was an illegal charge to my account anyway. They say the credit is courtesy. I laugh and hang up. PLEASE SOMEONE START A CLASS ACTION SUIT... PLEASE

Unbelievable!, this just happened to my parents verbatim. We called AT&T and they indicated they have heard about many of these type scam, however, there was nothing they could do, other than put my parents back onto the AT&T plan which includes interstate phone calls. I called One Link, and they claimed my mother (86 years old) authorized the transaction.

A total lie, and said they could produce the recorded phone call in 48 hours. I'm supposed to call back for them to play this for me. Now I know it'll be a total fabrication.

I told my parents to not pay the bill, but not sure what their recourse can be. Any suggestions?

Guest

USBI that's true they fabricated recording. Right now We try to contact them but just hang up and the amount wow it's around 1500 dlls

Guest

OneLink also tapped into my phone line without my authorization. I had an affordable long distance plan with Verizon but somehow OneLink came in and kicked me out of this affordable plan.

Now it turns out that Verizon grandfathered this plan so it's no longer available. Sounds fishy to me. I think it's a conspiracy between Verizon and these other companies. Now to get a domestic long distance plan will cost me $72.99 compared to $24.99.

This has happened before. Such a hassle. There is a claim action suit against similar companies. I think it's the same one they just changed their names.

The consumer gets screwed again. Ticked Off in Texas.

USBI did not talk to person on account did not state name of co or any additional charges to Quest

USBI played the recording they did not talk to person on account they stated they had to verfy changes to the long distant plan never stated a charge this was in 2006 in my mothers name in 2007 she passed away. Not knowing that this was on her account I changed the account to my name this was just added to my account I thought it was part of Quest charges. I just found out this was a different company because Quest changed the way they showed the bill on the statement. It had not been used since 2006 i did not even know it was a seperate bill from Quest. I called and canceled it.

USBI phone company lied to me

USBI called me telling me that I already had long distance service on my phone & that they could save me $14/month if I switched to USBI. I asked the gentleman, "really, do I have long distance on my phone? I could have sworn I didn't." He replied, "oh yes you do have long distance service & I can save you $14!" I continued to speak with this gentleman & again asked him to confirm if I did indeed have long distance service on my phone. He confirmed it once again. I switched to USBI to save the $14. LIAR Not only did he lie to me telling me twice that I already had long distance, but, according to Verizon, my main phone service provider, he didn't even have access to my account to be able to tell whether or not he would be able to save me any money at all! LIARS!!! I put a freeze on them thru Verizon Never again doing business with those LIARS!

Charged me for unauthorized services

I just received my phone bill and had an extra $33+ charges. When I called USBI I was told I did the ordering online. I have asked for a copy and was promised it would be sent. So far no copy. Can't anyone do anything to stop this scam? I am sure there are many people who do not scan their bills as carefully as I do and some older people who would simply pay the bill and never question it because they are not aware of the process for questioning the billing procedures. I have had ATT stop all third party charges.

USBI Scammed my thru AT&T

USBI have scammed us by falsely claiming we authorised them to move our long distance to At&T using them. (their company is teleuno, Inc). How this goes down is very deceptive, a simple call saying is this so&so, you reply yes, they say we would like to show you some long distance advantages, you say no & hang up, simple as that. One month later they send you a bill. This stinks we reoprted them to our origonal provider IDT (wonderful folks ) who gave us a code told us to call AT&T and put in a freeze. They (IDT) have taken up our case.

USBI a phone scam company has been billing me for nothing

My verizon bill has had extra charges on it from USBI who has been fraudulently billing me as a long distance carrier since 06. I am amazed that this is allowed to go on with no accountability. Upon contacting them I was told that I would be canceled but there was no chance of any reimbursement. I also was not given any confirmation number. I was told I would be e-mailed the request for this service which I have yet to see. I can not comprehend how this is leagal and would love input on how to recoup the money that has been stolen from me.

Back in July/August 2018, AT&T had a buy one get one free offer. I signed up for it but told them I wanted the free phone to also be an i8 Plus.

They checked into it and agreed if I pay for the cost in difference up front. So I did. They said I might see a few months with charges for it but no more than 3 which will be credited after and no longer charged. I never saw the credit and called AT&T Customer a thousand times!

They kept saying they will issue a credit and that it would need to be reviewed each time and without any corrective action. I just called again and had to explain the situation regarding the buy one get one free. The customer service guy said that I did not qualify and that there was never one for iPhone. He also said I had to have direct TV.

My friend got his second free iPhone on this buy one get one free offer so there is no way the offer never existed. Then he transferred me to the Loyalty Department because I said I would cancel my service. The woman (rude) made up every excuse which kept changing as I made claims regarding the exact truth. Bottom line, someone made a big mistake and I have to pay for it or I was deliberately scammed so someone could make a sell and lead me to believe if I paid the difference on the second i8 Plus I would agree to the promotion offer.

I upgraded to an iPhone 8 Plus and the second free one in which I paid the difference on to an iPhone 8 Plus. AT&T will do nothing about this issue and refuses to honor the promotion offer I was given back in early August. I gave the phone to my sister and it would be awkward asking for it back so I will not do that. I will first transfer to Verizon and default on AT&T even if it costs me more to do it.

I also plan to go to the court house to file charges against AT&T for fraudulently charging me for services/device I did not agree to - or duping me into something that was not true so they can make a sale.

If you have any advice please let me know. movadomd@***.com

AT&T has its nerve! How can I get restitution and restorative damages?

I can't believe they support this type of corrupt sales tactic, lying to a customer about what they are really getting! then leading the customer on a wild goose chase so they get away with it over time.

Out of many calls to them they kept leading me on into thinking the issue will be resolved... never has and I had to pay for their BS and/or mistakes in which I do not believe it was a mistake but a thought out plan purposefully misleading me.

I do not understand how the Federal government allow this pirate company to make money through fraud. How does ATT allows USBI to invoice customers for services they do not provide?

I call USBI and they offer me to delete my account, but what account? I never authorized an account to them?

They said my wife accepted the charges and provide me her false DOB.

Guest

I never even received any call to change my long distance service...USBI just started billing me a year ago...with no authorization!!! 6.05 is what they have been charging me the past year...I finally got through to someone and she said they owed me 130.00 and they would refund it asap...they still have not...and now I can't get through....smh....scam....this sucks!!!

Guest

They started charging me in August of 2011 saying that they were taking over the billing for my long distance company and it was going to mean big savings over AT&T doing their own billing. When my husband called them, they said I approved them as our long distance carrier. That's odd, were still are billed for our long distance by AT&T all the while they were adding $14.00 a month on to the bill.

Guest

Please help me! USBI is billing me for nothing. I have called every month since August and they continue to bill me.

Guest

i just find that this bastards charge me. $6.40 for nothing.

scam company.

because the people who work there they not listen just defend themselves. and i told them that a honest company try to fix the problem not fighting back like those jerks

Guest

I was also scammed by ESBI and just discovered the emergency voicemail monthly fee charges from them on my Frontier account. They said my wife approved it online and she also spoke with them to confirm that this was never done.

I also had a bill from ESBI billing for an average of $26 a month since April or 6 months of charges which were duplicating the free toll free charges I had with Frontier. I also called them and cancelled. I first went through Frontier to ensure that I was covered and they credited me back with 3 months of charges based on these USBI policies. This seems to be the most common scam in phone services.

They need to be put away for a long time. Caveat Emptor.

Guest

Total scam (consumer telecom) billed thru USBI. They talked my 89 year old mother into switching long distance service to them.

She already had it thru ATT. Of course they play the authorization recording to you if you call to complain.

But they will not refund you. And get this she made a 2 minute long distance call and ATT billed my monther 30 cents for the two minute call and Consumer Telecom didn't even pick up the tab.

ATT / USBI

After switching from AT&T to sprint, I paid my AT&T bill over the phone with my debit card. Within a couple of days charges started showing up on my bank statement from companies I've never heard of (& som I have), & never ordered anything from, such as the TOBI wrinkle remover/ steamer, miracle blade, freelance, bun & thigh roller, doubleday book, fitwalk, life fit labs, colon zen (not sure I want to know much about this one ), good ol' vistaprint (can't believe they are still around), GNS vitamins, pink patch, bidfuel, & grantsitenet, this is BS!!, What a coincidince that it all began as soon as I paid off AT&T's collectors! Said they were working with ATnT and they would lower long distance bill from 15 dollars a month to 8 dollars. We ended up with a bill for 115 dollars one month.

SCAM! *** me learned a lesson.

Guest

I just got off the phone with AT&T the guy on the phone told me I had to have a confirmation # to get the charge taken off the bill. I called the number on the bill for USBI or Mainstreet Telephone, but the number did not work.

Then I was given another number to call it did not work. The guy from AT&T said to go to the website, well that was useless. All you can do is fill out a request for someone to call you.

This is my mother's bill and she cannot afford these charges. The the guy on the phone tried to sell me cell phone service or Dish network service.

Guest

i work as an att cust service rep and all day long people are calling about these "third party" charges. it happens to so many people and they don't realize it because they charge smaller amounts.

when i ask supervisors about it they say there's nothing we can do. i think it's because those companies are really part of att. how it works is when you get one of these on your bill, you have to call them and they send att the credit to be put on your bill. that is if you can get through to those other companies.

then it can take 2 to 3 billing cycles to show up on your bill.

anyway, if you're an att cust, always keep an eye on the first page of your bill at the section titled "billing summary". the 3 most common third party companies you'll see are USBI, OAN, and ILD.

Scammed by ATT and USBI

I'm pissed at USBI. It's a scam assisted by ATT. The phone company gets something for billing and sending the money to these orfices. I think we should all file a small claim in every local court and have USBI lose when no one appears to give testimony. I can't believe the so called oversight committee of the federal government allows these companies( ATT and USBI ) to operate a scam on the people who pay their bills and try to be good citizens. I did file a stop billing order with the phone company for all third party billing. We will see if it works.

Pissed at USBI phony phone bill

USBI, a phony phone service. I was billed on my ATT home phone bill for $15,22 for WHAT. They advised I had applied for their service via computer. I filed a complaint with ATT and issued a stop order for 3rd party billing. ATT has to get something for collecting for these *** people. If this doesn't work I will file a small claim and they will either appear or lose by default. I think the people being scammed should put ATT's *** in a bind to get this stopped. If I can be of service in this matter please advise.

I just caught what USBI has been doing to me. My wife usually pays the bills.

This time I had a chance to look at the bill and saw this USBI charge was not on the bill compared to all the other bills.

They have been ripping me off for years. If I get another USBI bill on my Frontier phone bill I will cancell my Frontier Land line, And just go cellular.I might just cancell anyway, just because Frontier should have not aided in this fraud.

USBI chgs on Verizon bill

I came home to find a phone bill with a charge from USBI. After three calls to them - in Manilla! - I was told my husband ordered it through the internet. They could provide me with no proof, not even an email address. Then thy told me I had to pay the charge or be tuned over to a collection agency! Of course, they'll issue me a credit. What kind of *** is that? The "Supervisor" could not provide me with corporate HQ info or names! This is fraud at it's finest - why does Verizon allow this?? Where are the regulators? Where's the government?
